self portrait cannopic jar.  ceramic

this is a self portrait of me in 2001, when i was finishing up my college degree.  It is two pieces, a lid and a jar,  there are some hirogliphics going down the front that spell out Rider, kinda like a cartouche.   egypt and its art has always fascinated me so i wanted to create a cannopic jar of myself.  the egytians would have jars for there different gods and certain organs from the mummy would be placed in the corresponding gods jar. 9.5"x4.5"x4.5"
